I want to introduce my very first published book, "Growing Wings" !!!!
Within the four chapters of this poetry collection: Hurting, Healing, Growing, and Freeing-- you will find a candid journey of mental health. I write about the cocoons we may all find ourselves trapped in at times, such as unhealthy relationships, limiting beliefs and damaging habits. You're then invited onto a journey of hurting and healing with me, to break free and learn to fly.
Whether you are trying to heal from trauma, find your voice or improve your perspective on life, "Growing Wings" speaks relatability and encouragement into those topics and many more. It is a companion for every individual on their journey of metamorphosis.

"it’s like i’ve been stuck in my cocoon
for such a long time
that i forgot there is potential living
outside of its constraint.
now, i’m finally beginning
to break down all the layers
to unravel the habits
that have entrapped me.
i’m pulling away from other’s words
twisting free of my regrets
trying to untangle and unlearn.
my cocoon was not keeping me safe
it was keeping me stuck
and now i am leaving
now it must let me outgrow
who i was content with being."
